A fast cabinet grade dovetail?

Dovetails are the hallmark of fine furniture. These days, with a decent dovetail jig like the Leigh or Akeda and a plunge router, anyone can cut perfect dovetails just by following the instructions that come with the jig. The joint will fit like a charm, but it will look like it was cut by a router. Because you can only make a dovetail bit so narrow before it will snap off, you can never replicate the narrow pins seen in fine hand crafted furniture. The only way to get this look is to cut the dovetails by hand. When using hand tools, the narrow portion of the pin can be as narrow as the kerf left by your saw. I was taught how to cut dovetails by Rob Cosman and can highly recommend his method and the video; they are clear, precise and will explain everything you need to create perfect hand cut dovetails in very little time at all.
